CD 18 6" Pretabbed Candle Wicks
Choose a Variant

Product Update:

You may see some variation in the wax coating on the wick due to different coating processes. Varying amounts of wax coating on the wick has no impact on the burn of the candle.

About the CD Series
CD (Stabilo) wick is a flat braided cotton wick with paper threads woven into the cotton. The reinforced construction of the wick is designed to ensure a consistent burn with higher fragrance loads, especially with softer, more viscous natural waxes. The superior rigidity of CD wick allows the wick to stand up straighter for easier pours and keeps the wick upright in a deep melt pool.

Note: Any carbon buildup should be removed once the wick is extinguished.

CD wicks are lead and zinc free.

Conveniently secure your wicks with Wick Stickers (large) or Wick Stickers Pro.

LOVE THIS WICK FOR TINS!!!

Thank you Candle Science for doing what you do best! I used these wicks in my 7oz Soy/Coconut candles and they are burning beautifully! I will definitely purchase these again along with many other products such as your fragrances as they are very true to their name in regards to the scent! My CT is AMAZING & MY HT IS EVEN BETTER! IM SO EXCITED FOR THE LAUNCH!!

Great wick

I use this wick with 464 wax and CS fragrance oils and I love them for my 3.1 diameter candle tins. I love how they curl as they burn down. Beautiful melt pool and string fragrance throw.

This wick works beautifully, as I hoped it would!

Working with soy wax for the first time, I considered the advice of CS every step of the way, right down to waiting 2 weeks before burning my candles.
I did a burn test on 4 different candles, using this wick, and had no surprises.
Very happy with this product!

Solid Wick

the CD series is a solid wick, but you do have to test them and find the right size/wax to use them with. It seems like a lot of negative reviews are coming from new makers that think any wick should work in their candle -- not so. If it's tunneling or smoking too much, you're using the wrong size.

Apothecary Jars

These were recommended for my wax to use in the apothecary jars that I love from CS.
They worked very well for me. I did a lot of tests and I will say that the length that they are trimmed to is paramount. I found myself cutting them a little bit shorter then I usually cut my wicks but they worked absolutely perfect.

My first burn test where I cut it 1/4 inch had a good HT but the flame was a little wilder then I prefer and it curled and mushroomed. So I took an extra small, extra snip off my next one. Perfection. Still had a good HT, no mushrooming and no curling. Text book melt pool. I suggest playing with the length despite the rules we have been told about always trimming to EXACTLY 1/4 inch. I know I am personally next to obsessive with this standard and have all types of ways to precisely cut my wicks 1/4 inch, but somewhere between 1/8 of an inch and 1/4 of an inch this wick worked amazing for me. It’s a small difference that made a big difference.

I will definitely be stocking up on these.
