I’m shocked by any bad reviews for this fragrance. I usually don’t enjoy gourmand scents. But this is high end smelling, warm but sexy. LOVE this on its own but great at adding warmth to many fragrance combos. I wish the hot throw was a tiny bit stronger (it is good I just love it so much I want even more lol) but I’ve only sampled in my smaller vessels so could just be that. My fav fragrance so far and I’ve tried a lot.

When I first found this I was in love with the scent. At first I used it with 100% soy wax that I just tried from Amazon and the cold throw was amazing! I was surprised when I didn’t get a good hot throw, so I ended up getting the 6006 wax which had really good reviews for cold and hot throws with the recommended wicks and I ended getting a poor cold and hot throw. I’m not giving up I’m gonna try a few more candles. I’m destined to get this right.

I smell the smoky part of the vanilla. It’s ok for me. I wanted sooo bad to love it.

I want to be clear that Gourmand/bakery fragrances are NOT for me and I get easily nauseated by them, but I have sampled over 100 different fragrances from CS, most of which I find to be at least a 4 out of 5 even if they are outside my personal preferences, and Velvet Vanilla has made it into my top 5.

I just received a sample and immediately ran here to leave my first review. This one is really complex and sultry and the elevated, luxurious counterpart to any other vanilla I’ve ever smelled. None of that artificial sweetness or vanilla extract vibes here. Just, wow. Really outdid yourselves with this one, Candle Science! 👏🏻
