Olfactive Description: Floral, Herbaceous, Camphorous

Rich and beautiful, Lavender (Bulgarian) is an aromatic floral essential oil steam distilled from the stems and flowers of certified Bulgarian lavender. Lavender sourced from this region is known for its deeper, more fixative scent and has a more heady, multidimensional aroma than its French counterpart.

We’ve tested this essential oil in a variety of products and recommend Lavender (Bulgarian) essential oil for use in reed diffusers, candles, wax melts, and tarts. It performs beautifully in bath and body products like soap and lotion.

Candle Maker’s Notes:
We’ve found that this essential oil has a strong hot throw in candles with a lovely, aromatic burn. It rates three leaves out of three on our soy performance scale, making it one of our top essential oils for candle making.

Blends Well With: Eucalyptus, Bergamot, Orange (Sweet), Amyris

Fragrance Wheel Family: Aromatic

Lye Water Temperature 115ºF (46.1°C)
Oil Temperature 115ºF (46.1°C)

We did not experience any acceleration or separation. This oil was slow to reach a light trace and held the light trace for a long time. We continued stick blending to a medium trace. The batter poured smoothly into the mold and did not thicken. After 24 hours, the scent was strong, there was no discoloration, and no sign of the soap going into a gel phase. After 30 days there was no discoloration and the scent remained strong. We did find that after 60 days, the scent faded slightly.

This is a beautiful EO that works amazing in room sprays as a stand alone EO or mixed with other EOs and it also works way better in a room spray than CS's lavender FO. 5/5 stars

4/5 stars in CP soap solely because it is a very, very soft scent once the batter goes through the saponification stage. I wish I tried anchoring the EO with kaolin clay or adjusted my EO/FO blend better because I don't get much lavender. Every summer, I make myself citronella soap and blend the citronella FO with other things like lemongrass, mint, or eucalyptus with olive oil infused in calendula petals (it works great!). Considering lavender is in the mint family, I figured it was a good time for me to test this particular EO.

The soap turned out amazing and the lavender does tone down the citronella FO but for me to actually smell the lavender, I'll need to do 2 parts citronella to 3 parts lavender on a blotter to find a better ratio.

Very nice

Used in 464 wax, 5% EO. Nice CT and HT. The scent is exactly what I’d expect from a lavender EO. This one is more earthy than floral, but still pleasant.

You have to let this one BREATHE!

OOB this EO made me gag...but I had faith and used it on a blotter strip. After several hours of drying, the fragrance opened up into a beautiful, earthy lavender. I probably would still prefer English Lavender as it's a bit prettier, but still a very lovely EO.

sadly dissapointed

since CS has been so wonderful with their fragrance oils, I thought the EO would be just as great......but this Lavender did not meet my expectations......I tried it in candles & soap & it gave me only a stale tea-like fragrance.
was so dissapointed.....I could return most but not the bottle I opened. I hope CS can improve on the Lavender ...it's the most asked for fragrance of all mine. :(
